MASTERING AND STUDIO RECORDING FOR THE LA FONTAINES

We are very pleased to be involved in the making of this amazing new single Release The Hounds from the band The LaFontaines. The track was produced by Joe Cross producer and bass guitarist from The Courteeners. We tracked the drums, guitars and bass at the Knutsford studio with Joe mixing and tracking the vocals at Manchester Northern Quarter studio. Chris finished the track by mastering it at the Cheshire. We absolutely love this band and Joe’s production. A truly unique sound with Scottish rapping, melodic chorus, funk beats with elements of Rage Against The Machine. Hopefully we’ll see these guys again int he studio soon.

COURTEENERS EXTRA LOVE RECORDED AT THE KNUTSFORD STUDIO

Oscillate Recordings were pleased to record The Courteeners acoustic EP for the deluxe relaunch of Concrete Love – Extra Love. This was to coincide with their sell out tour in December 2015 which included an unprecedented seven day run at the Manchester Apollo, with each night selling out.

The EP was recorded at our Knutsford studio in September 2015 with some acoustic re-workings of some of the tracks from Concrete Love. The EP was engineered by Chris Hughes and was produced by Joe Cross. The songs worked on were

POST PRODUCTION FOR DALWHINNIE WHISKY ADVERT

During the summer of 2015 we did some post-production, sound recording, SFZ and mixing with film maker Ben Rose for an advert for a new Diageo drinks whisky product called Dalwhinnie Winters Gold for Manchester agency LOVE Creative. Chris spent 3 days recording on location in Dalwhinnie, Scotland at the distillery which is officially the UK’s coldest spot with an average yearly temperature at 5.7C, perfect for making this tipple.

Back at the studio we mixed all the sound with voiceovers to film ready for a Christmas promotion. Check the video out here.
